Toaq is not in fact heavily inspired by gua\spi, and toaq's development isn't finished

as for the first claim, there is solpahi's word that he didn't take much from gua\spi, but also the fact that they both use grammar for different syntactic functions is really only a superficial similarity

gua\spi uses tones to traverse up and down the nodes of a syntax tree, while toaq's tones convey parts of speech
